Frequently Asked Questions


What type of deposit is required to hold my rental?

After confirming your dates are available, please pay the full rental amount.  In the event you need to cancel, you will receive a full refund up to 72hours from your rental time.  If you are unable to give a 72 hour notice, we will then keep 15% of your rental rate as an inconvenience fee. Please email us for any concerns. 

Who can drive and do I need insurance for the boat?

All drivers must be 21 years or older, and provide SWMBR with a valid driver’s license.  The day of your rental, a $500 security deposit  will be held on a credit card to cover potential damage to the pontoon or motor.  This will be promptly refunded upon inspection at the end of your rental as long as no damage is done to the boat! 


What about a delivery fee and gas?

Depending on your lake location delivery fees start at a flat rate of $50 and increase with distance, however we will do our best to accommodate you! The boat will be delivered filled with fuel, you only have to refill if you run out! 


What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my rental?

SWMBR is not responsible for bad weather, we will however try to reschedule your rental for the next available date. 


Can I use my own life jackets?

Yes. The pontoon will be supplied with standard coast guard approved adult life vests, if you have smaller children we recommend providing your own, as we cannot guarantee that ours will be a proper fit.  Please note that your life jackets must follow the Coast Guard regulations, and SWMBR will not be responsible if you fail to follow these rules. 

Can I tube/ski behind pontoons?

Pontoons are equipped with small outboard engines.   You will be unable to pull tubers, or skiers.
